For us at Web Spiders, the 3rd of March, 2012, was a very special day. It was a day to get together and celebrate our achievements, our dreams, our aspirations and our abilities. It was the Annual Town Hall Meeting for 2012, a day that was, in the words of our CEO, Mr. Siddharth Jhujhunwala, "all about the employees".
The event was held at the Sonnet, a plush hotel a stone's throw away from Salt Lake City Center. It was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues from different divisions, different cities and even different countries to meet, mingle and have a whole lot of fun.
The day began with our CEO, Mr. Siddharth Jhunjhunwala delivering his keynote address. He used some great videos and showed us how success can be achieved through determination and hard work. After Mr. Jhunjhunwala, it was Mrs. Satarupa Sen, Vice President, who told us how the company is growing with each passing year and why new clients are keen on establishing long-term relationships with us. This session helped employees understand the long-term goals of our organization, something that is easy to lose sight of when short-term deadlines loom over their horizon. Mr. Neil Burton, Sales Director (UK) and Mr. Varun Kashiv, Sales Engineer (USA) were also present at the meet. They told us how our clientèle has been steadily increasing across the borders over the last few years. These two gentlemen helped us understand how we can strive to offer better services to our clients, majority of whom are based overseas, yet who's needs are so familiar to us.
After these presentations, we bonded with our colleagues over some beverages and got ourselves prepared  to play games. We played 'DON'T BLOW THE JOKER', 'KEEP THE CHANGE', 'FLIP-YOUR-LID', and so on. It was real fun! The crowd cheered as they watched their project leads, managers and colleagues trying their best to score past the other. Mr. Jhunjhunwala and Mrs. Sen didn't just sit and watch, they played too. The event concluded with a sumptuous lunch.
The Annual Town Hall Meeting gave us experiences which will be etched deep in our memories for months to come!
