Day one of the CTIA Wireless 2009 Conference in Las Vegas is in the record books now - with so many exhibitors! This is one of the largest mobile conferences ever, with hundreds of exhibitors and over 35,000 attendees. Some of the booth setups are quite extensive in size and investment, including the multi-level Qualcomm and Alcatel - and the extensive LG setup. At the Web Spiders booth, we had vibrant conversations with ISVs, Entrepreneurs and other business owners. It is evident that there is a strong desire among them to have their applications on Mobile. According to Siddharth, CEO of Web Spiders, "RMA may be more relevant and important than RIA in the coming year, and years!"The people we met... they truly get it - they understand how Mobile can extend their reach into the marketplace. Yet it was clear that there are no ISVs or Businesses that are true leaders in the Enterprise level Mobile business. We believe it is now open and fertile ground.According to Stephen Harris (VP, Web Spiders - North America), "There is a great opportunity for traditional online application and web site owners to achieve a competitive advantage by adding Mobile to their strategy".In general, the big CTIA news for today included Skype on iPhone and the new Blackberry App Store (Ã la iPhone App Store). At Web Spiders (Booth 6247), we showcased Snockles (our Social Network Product) on BlackBerry, and an eLearning and Stock Reporting News Service as well... along with other RMA work. Tomorrow, we hope the great conversations continue.
