According to a new study by AdMob, Android devices have overtaken the iPhone devices in online mobile traffic in the U.S for the month of March. These stats are specific only to the U.S; internationally, the iPhone is still dominant.

Android accounted for 46% of online mobile traffic, with Apple coming in next with 39%. RIM's BlackBerry is third with 7%. Â The AdMob study also showed traffic based on individual devices that use the Android and iPhone OS. Motorola Droid captured 32% of the Android traffic, with Google's Nexus One managing only 2%. iPhone 3GS had 39% of the iPhone OS traffic, followed by iPod Touch at 25% and iPhone 3G at 20%.
