Rumor: Adobe Suing Apple?

A rumor has surfaced that Adobe plans to sue Apple "within a few weeks" over its decision to prohibit third party tools for the iPhone 4.0.

It is believed that Apple has restricted the development of apps to its Xcode tools to make sure that all developers use the same features. Apple seems to be keen to avoid the problems it faced with Mac OS X, where its reliance on third-party apps created problems for Microsoft and Adobe, wherein their software had be rewritten to work on Intel processors. It is unclear if Apple's purpose behind the decision is to make it difficult to develop for other platforms like Android, or if it is to encourage the use of iPhone specific features.
