Old Android Version Still Tagging With New Phones

Google's latest Android 2.1 is still not available in the latest versions of smartphones in the market. Customers are unaware of this fact while they shop for smartphones. Most smartphones are still running with Android 1.6 or earlier versions.

Since the latest version is not available, most customers are unable to access the latest apps and software. Each brand has a different version of Android installed, but none, except for Google's Nexus One have the latest 2.1 version. The manufacturers are not able to explain for this delay in installing the latest software on their new handsets.
