iPad Restructuring The Internet

The unreleased iPad has already begun restructuring the Internet. The iPad does not run Flash and as a result, many websites have to be modified, to be viewed in the iPad. While websites had to be optimized for the iPhone's touchscreen interface, they now face a challenge of being recreated without Flash for the iPad's larger screen, before its weekend release.

The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the National Public Radio will start sites that do not use Flash, along with apps for the iPad. Video sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and Brightcove are already using HTML5, making them readily available for iPad users.
