Google modified its AdWords platform to make it compatible with Apple iPad. The announcement was made when Apple declared the launch of its own mobile ad platform for iPhone 4.0. Â Advertisers can use the large touch screen of iPad for better advertising opportunities.
The iPad, which uses a mobile operating system, is beneficial for Google as its big screen will help advertisers to display their ads more prominently. Apple recently introduced iAd, its own advertising platform which runs on iPhone OS 4. Google however admits that ads shown on mobile devices such as the iPhone or smart phones will not work on the iPad as it has to be formatted differently. Google has also arranged for access to Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps on the iPad. Google has also customized Google Mobile App for the iPad.
