Over the last fortnight Web Spiders has completed 2 major projects. We developed an online application for a renowned motor car manufacturing company that will facilitate users to get prompt response to their queries. The company required an 'easy-to-use' platform to help their customers communicate promptly with dealers, lodge complaints (if any), track warranty of automobile parts and accessories sold, which in turn would help in the improvement of their manufacturing process. Previously, the company was using a desktop application, based on MSAccess, to generate various analytical reports from their 'claim mainframe database' and to keep track of requests made by the departments to various distributors to return defective auto parts.
We performed a detailed analysis of the requirements and created an online application which generates the claim reports on PDF and Excel with the format, as specified by the client. The brand new application would help users to generate requests and send mails to the dealers of the company for return of defective parts. On receiving the replacement auto part, the system would allow users to use a unique barcode and update their original request for auto part replacement. The web application was developed by Web Spiders using JAVA and LAMP technology.
We also completed developing two specific modules for the official website of one of India's premier business management schools, Previously, we have revamped their website and made their site more user-friendly. This time, we have developed 'Faculty Publications' and 'Net Banking' modules, which aims to take user-experience to a whole new level. While the 'Faculty Publications' module is essentially an online archive for publications authored by faculties and can be accessed by faculty members and students (optional), the 'Net Banking' module is an online payment gateway which will facilitate students in paying their course/ exam fees online.
