Microsoft Gives Free Tools To Speed Up Apps Development

To speed up the apps development for Windows Phone 7 which will go on sale later on this year, Microsoft is offering a group of software tools like Visual Studio 2010, Expression Blend 4 and XNA Game Studio 4 to international developers, for free.

Several phone and software companies are opening up their online marketplace to app developers, who have the chance to write apps that will help users do anything from playing games to accessing social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, to booking tickets. Microsoft hopes that its venture into mobile phones will give it a large share in the mobile data segment, which is estimated to grow at an annual compounded rate of 131%.
