Client: A large automotive company, Europe


As the Mitsubishi business grew throughout Europe, the websites of Mitsubishi Motors Europe, its 36 national distributors, and over 3,000 dealers, had been developed over the years. However these websites, devoid of congruent strategy and focus on information communication, failed to spread the consistent branding and marketing information to the wide range of potential customers across Europe.

To create a sense of integration, intimacy, and rich user experience amongst the visitors, Mitsubishi intended to restructure/recreate all the Mitsubishi portals across Europe. The business goal was to have a central marketing strategy and medium that would host and distribute its marketing materials through a controlled environment to all its distributors and dealers. The shared contents would then be translated to local languages and hosted on local country distributor and dealer web sites. The approach would help reduce the cost of information sharing, website building, and in turn, would help to provide the right information at the right time to the right people. This would gradually help in converting visitors to potential customers and then to loyal customers. In other words, it would help acquire new customers and retain the existing ones.

Solution Details:

Web Spiders performed the detailed requirement analysis, conversion of business requirements to functional and non-functional requirements, and also designed, developed and successfully implemented the solution. The solution involved creation of a template website (parent site) that could be replicated and translated across different countries and languages. From this parent central website, Mitsubishi Motors Europe would be able to create marketing materials and distribute them to its distributors and dealers simply by clicking a button.

The solution has been developed using Ektron CMS 400.Net 7.6.1 SP2 and ASP.Net 2.0 and MS .Net Framework 3.5. It uses Ektron eSync Tool for content replication and synchronisation across the web sites.

The deployment architecture follows a 2 environment system – all content integration is performed in Staging Environment and hosted on load balanced Production environment.
